Perhaps a bit surprised, Matt and I found out yesterday that our offer on the historic property on Mitchell Street had been accepted in just six hours!
It is definitely a fixer-upper, but we have lots of great aspirations for all three structures and the amazing trees that currently reside on the lot.
It even has a basement- which is extremely odd for Phoenix. It is an adobe house with original wood floors, nearly 1 foot thick walls and windows in nearly every size you can imagine. There is a guest house that sits at the back of the property and a two story building in the north west corner of questionable sturdiness.
We will certainly be having a dumpster party after we close on the house. Right now we have lots of questions and can't wait to get in there, roll up our sleeves and see what all might be burried with in the walls of our new gem!
